Right? Wrong.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Oh yes, there were the mountain-backed battlefield scenes south of Gettysburg, the humidity-free autumn air in the mid-Atlantic hardwood forests and the long down-hill glides into Hagerstown. <\/p>\n<p>Our problem: we were getting tanned on only one side. That&#8217;s right, when you bike west this time of year, the sun is always in the southern sky and we&#8217;re getting very brown on our left side, and still pale on the right. And to make matters worse we also have helmet-head. Yep, that&#8217;s tanned neck, ears, cheeks (only on the left side, of course) and a pale crown. And it&#8217;s really affecting our identities. <\/p>\n<p>How can biker-studs Mickey and Johnny, both sunscreen users, have tanned ports and pale starboards?
